THE REVEREND DOCTOR C. JARRED HAMMET, JR.
Pastor
Reverend Hammet was called to be our Teaching Elder in April of 2021. He is a South Carolina native and returnee to Clarendon County and New Harmony Presbytery. He and April have two children – Rachael and William – who live in Macon, Georgia. Rachael is married to David – a British fellow.
April is a graduate of Agnes Scott and Albany State University. She returns to teaching in Clarendon School District 2. Dr. Hammet is a graduate of Wofford College. Both of his degrees are from Columbia Theological Seminary, in Decatur, Georgia.
Reverend Hammet loves Scripture, studies about the Reformation, and will soon be putting a sailboat out on Lake Marion.
LESLIE PAUL
Youth & Children’s Director
Leslie has served in our church with the youth and children since 2003. A graduate of Mary Baldwin College, Leslie seeks to serve God by teaching, supporting, and building relationships with students and their families. Leslie is a Virginia Tech Hokies fan & loves to camp with her family. She also enjoys living on Lake Marion with her husband Ed, and their sons, Edsel and Logan.
LYNN BERRY
Church Administrator/Treasurer
Lynn Stewart Berry was born and raised in Manning and is a life-long member of First Baptist Church Manning. She has served as Church Administrator and Treasurer for the Presbyterian Church at Manning since September 1994. Lynn graduated from Columbia College with an Associate Degree in Accounting. She seeks to show compassion and love to the members of The Presbyterian Church at Manning by building relationships with everyone and handling all office needs and finances.
Lynn is an avid Clemson Tiger fan. She loves her family and especially enjoys doting on her granddaughter, Stormi.
Lynn and her husband live in Bloomville in her grandparents’ family home.
THOMMIE JACKSON
Organist
Thommie began playing piano at the age of three and played for the first time in church, and for her first wedding at the age of eight. She attended undergraduate school at Coker College, and subsequently University of Mississippi, “Ole Miss,“ for graduate studies, majoring at both institutions in Piano Performance. During her first year at Ole Miss, the faculty voted her Graduate Student of the Year. Thommie feels very blessed for the talent that God has bestowed on her and believes that she should use her talent to glorify God at each and every opportunity. She loves music, of course, her family, her fur babies, George and Weezie, Ole Miss Football, reading, and spending time with close friends and family.
